It has brought new audiences to classical music and received a nomination for a Royal Philharmonic Society Award.  The recital includes romantic and impressionist songs by Duparc, Debussy, Ravel and Faure as well as 20th century pieces by Poulenc, Milhaud and Satie. gaple online

This relaxing journey into French Song will take you from the Grand Boulevards of the Belle Epoque and afternoon promenades along the river Seine, to the smoky cabarets and the bohemian cafés of the artists of Montmartre. 

Helena’s training as a linguist and personal experience of this beautiful city gives her an added insight into her performance of her chosen songs.  Paris always reveals a new image to me.  I turn a familiar comer and find something. I’ve never noticed before. ‘  The Impressionist painter Monet and his famous garden at Giverny is the subject of one of the lectures given by Brenda Kean.
